Initial feedback of my book is starting to come in
And I'm nervous and excited at the same time
Things are getting real…
I’m excited to share some initial feedback from the beta readers of my book (see below), and honestly, I can’t wait to share the final version with you.
It’s been a five-year journey. It’s a process. It’s been messy. But I can almost see the end of it.
Here’s a preview of what people are saying about the Unhustle book.
““FINALLY!!! YOU’VE SEEN THROUGH THE LIE, THE ILLUSION, YOU’VE CALLED A SPADE A SPADE, AND SAID THE EMPEROR HAS NO CLOTHES!” Along with that it was/is also “How fast can this book get out so I can tell everybody I know to read it ASAP!” Then I wanted to stand up and cheer! This is the kind of liberation I’ve been working for and working on, personally and professionally, for 50+ years!”
“Chapter 2! I really saw my wife from a different angle after reading this… A switch inside me turned on and I somehow changed a little; I think.”
“I clicked on the link and started reading directly from my phone on a super busy day at work…I finished reading last night around 4 AM.”
“First off, I’m a 59 year old father of five. An engineer, from (and living in) Ireland. I have ADHD and find it difficult to finish books. I know it’s only 40% but psychologically, it’s a book. I finished it, which is encouraging in itself.”
“The work is actually brilliant.”
“Overall, I got a lot out of the book. Although I have read similar subjects in many places and have from time to time practiced head/heart alignment exercises, I found myself really motivated to keep reading and each time I sat down with the book, I got up energised and feeling more positive. I also wanted to go talk to my kids about it but they are fed up with my meddling, so I resisted.”
“I finally found some time to start reading.Really love it.
Speaks to me directly, as I imagine will speak to many others. It is way more immersive and personal which I believe is the key to every story. Also it makes it credible.
You have a story to tell and a secret to share, that promises salvation to many overworked and stressed out people.
It sounds like a journey that will be fun to follow in a book and make someone try their luck in beating the system.”

Things I’m reading these days:
Neuroscientist Christof Koch on why reflective self-consciousness separates us from intelligent machines from Big Think.
Amie McNee’s I don’t want a job. I want to make art.
(Lately, I’ve been spending a little bit of time with pottery. I’m not sure if it’s procrastination from doing the actual work on the book or simply finding joy in it. Here’s a glimpse from my new hobby today. In the future, we will crave things that pull us away from screens. I crave a handmade life. And this puts me in flow. So, yes, creating instead of consuming is one of the key Unhustle principles.
Meta and YouTube—and their “addictive” design features—are responsible for causing mental health problems in an underage user, a California jury found Wednesday. The social media giants must pay the plaintiff, now 20, $3 million in compensatory damages, with Meta responsible for 70% of the sum and YouTube the remaining 30%.
I know I scrambled my brain from doing too much social media for my clients in my marketing days, so this is good to see.
Now, back to the book.
See you next week.

P.S. Currently, I have 1 spot open for 1:1 coaching. If my work resonates, reach out and we’ll set up time to talk and see if it’s a good fit. I like to work with rebels, badasses, and high performers who want a way out of Hustle Culture. if you want a radiant life without sacrificing your health, joy, or ambition, I’d love to chat. Also, I’m booking speaking engagements for 2026.
